Mike Feeney has over 20 years of
experience in a variety of senior management positions spanning virtually
all aspects of bringing technology-based products to market. Prior to
joining Fifth Business, Mike developed specific expertise for dramatically
increasing revenue while, at the same time, maximizing owner's equity in
technology-based businesses.
As a principal and vice president of marketing at PowerCrew, Mike developed
and executed the company's transition from a professional services-centric
business model to an ERP reseller. His efforts contributed to consistent
growth (235% over 2.5 years), profitability and a successful
acquisition—increasing
the value of PowerCrew by over 200%.
As vice president of marketing at Spectrum Associates, an ERP software and
services company, Mike's efforts contributed to 10 consecutive quarters of
growth and profitability (with over 20% operating margin), propelling the
company to the top 15% of the Inc. 500 in 1992, 1993 and 1994.
During his tenure, the company grew 300% ($13 to $40 million) leading to an
acquisition that yielded a value "unmatched the industry," according to AMR
Research.
In addition to his role at Fifth Business, he serves on the board and
advises Strategic Ventures, an investment capital consulting firm. Mike has
also held senior management positions at Scenica, Powersoft/Sybase, Baird
and Unisys.
Mike is a graduate of Bentley College, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree
in Computer Science.
